Stop!

How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?

I begin every morning with a sit, a time to meditate and listen to myself. I can feel when I am out of sorts and it has actually helped me tune in to that reality not just in my morning sit but at other times in the day.

Sometimes the meditation itself is enough to ready me to plug back in. Other times I have to take a walk or journal a bit.

When there is greater need, a deeper exhaustion, I begin to plan to get away (when possible) or when I can simply devote an hour/half-day/day to nothing.
