An Earthling’s Creed

We believe
that the earth is not ours to control,
but a gift to cherish,
a living expression of the One who created all things.

We believe
that we are not rulers over creation,
but participants within it—
formed from the dust of the earth
and breathed into life by Spirit.

We believe
that every creature, every field, every bird in the sky
reveals something of the sacred,
and calls us to wonder, humility, and care.

We believe
that we are planted in this world with purpose—
each of us given a place to stand,
a life through which seeds may be sown.

We believe
that the seeds we plant matter:
seeds of kindness,
seeds of grace,
seeds of hope,
growing into a world shaped by love.

We believe
that community is sacred,
that we are formed not alone but together,
learning to live with compassion, respect, and shared life.

We believe
that our calling is not to judge or divide,
but to care for one another
and for the earth entrusted to us.

We believe
that each person is infinitely precious,
unconditionally loved,
and already a gift—
just as they are.

And so we commit
to live gently upon the earth,
to stand our post with love,
and to plant what matters—
for the healing of the world.

Amen
