Choosing a New Perspective on Frustration

January 29, 2025January 27, 2025 ~ James ~ Leave a comment

Frustration is something we all encounter, isn’t it? It sneaks into our lives when we least expect it, often in moments when we feel powerless over situations we thought we controlled. It's Easier to Believe the Bad Stuff - Infinitely Precious

In this episode of the Infinitely Precious Podcast, James reflects on the human tendency to seek validation through the perceptions of others while struggling to believe the good about ourselves. Drawing on a line from Pretty Woman—“It’s easier to believe the bad stuff”—he explores why criticism and self-doubt often feel more believable than affirmation, and how much energy we spend trying to manage how others see us. What if, instead of chasing approval, we practiced receiving what is already true? Through the simple spiritual rhythm of recognize, release, return, James invites listeners to notice the harsh inner voice, release the need to prove their worth, and return to the deeper truth that they are already infinitely precious, already loved, and already enough.
