When I look at the stories of Jesus of Nazareth, I see a person teaching and modeling a path for living.
Jesus taught about healing and wholeness, and facilitated others finding the wholeness about which he taught.
Jesus practiced being in the moment, with whoever he happened to be with then. He would stop at the side of the road to talk with someone everyone else seemed to ignore. Wherever he went, there he was.
Jesus modeled and taught about the “kingdom of God/heaven” which was less about some future “pie-in-the-sky” place and more about an attitude/way of living that valued self, all others, and the world around us.
Jesus modeled standing up to those who sought to exclude others, particularly from Love and “God” and community.
Jesus modeled living from a place of abundance rather than an imagined scarcity. With Jesus, there always seemed to be enough to go around so long as one did not hoard everything for themselves.

I believe in Jesus and even more in the path he taught. I believe that it is my place to emulate the model of Love, Wholeness, Presence, Acceptance, Neighboring Well, and Abundance. I practice letting go of patterns and habits that contradict the Jesus way; that is where meditation, breath work, reflection, and attention are helpful.
These are some of the lessons I have learned from Jesus.
