Which topics would you like to be more informed about?
I have been “jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none” kind of person most of my life. Acquiring new and varying information gave me a sense of pride. If this question had been asked of me ten years ago, my answer would have been, “Why limit me to a few topics? How about a smattering of EVERYTHING!?”
There is more to know than can ever be known. Hence, in an age of information overload, I have decided to take a step back from knowledge acquisition. I will keep reading and learning. However, I am tempering my focus in knowing more in favor of loving more and being more loving. I have discovered that knowledge goes only so far. I have reached a place in my life where I am focusing on relationships; those are worthy of my personal investment.
I propose these for my life:
- to be more present in relationships;
- to be more authentic in relationships;
- to be open to the relationships that come to me; and
- to invest my time and effort so others can experience being loved for who they are and as they are.
I do not imagine I will always succeed. I will give my best effort to showing up for relating.
Knowledge is cool. Love is lasting.
Inevitably, more information will come my way as a byproduct of living. That is to be expected and I will likely be excited by more. However, I intend to focus more energy on connecting and relating in significant, meaningful ways. I want any legacy of my life to be about loving, not my diverse knowledge-base!
Okay, I’d be cool if my legacy was both, but, given a choice, Love Wins!

This is precious
