A Trust Creed

I believe trust does not require certainty.
I believe faith begins when I am willing to step out of the boat.
I believe trust can be wounded and still ripen again.
I believe I do not need great faith to begin—only enough faith for the next step.
I believe Christ meets me when I step out,
and reaches toward me when I begin to sink.
I believe faith is not never being afraid;
it is learning, little by little, to trust.
