The Unseen Companion

We believe
that there has never been a moment
when God was not with us—
not in our joy,
not in our sorrow,
not even in the times we lost hope.

We believe
that hope is not wishing for what might be,
but trusting in the faithfulness
that has carried us this far
and will carry us still.

We believe
that when our plans unravel
and our expectations fall apart,
we are not abandoned—
we are invited
into a deeper seeing.

We believe
that, like those on the Road to Emmaus,
we often walk with Christ unrecognized—
in conversation,
in community,
in the quiet companionship of ordinary life.

We believe
that Christ meets us
in the breaking of bread,
in shared meals,
in unexpected places—
and that every table
can become a place of holy presence.

We believe
that understanding alone is not enough,
that truth is known
in the burning of the heart,
in moments of deep resonance,
when something within us whispers,
“This is life.”

We believe
that even when we cannot feel God,
God is no less present—
and that loss of hope
is not the end of faith,
but often the beginning of new life.

We believe
that we are never alone on the road,
and that, in time,
our eyes may be opened
to the One who has been with us all along.

And so we walk on—
with open hearts,
with attentive spirits,
with hope that is deeper than circumstance—

trusting
that the Presence we seek
is already here.
