A Grace-filled Creed

We believe God is always scattering grace—

not only on the ready and receptive,
but also on the hard, shallow, crowded places within us.

We believe no heart is fixed forever.
We are not simply one kind of soil;
we are living ground, changing with the seasons.

We believe faith is more than inherited answers
or words once spoken.
It deepens through attention, questioning, practice,
community, and the courage to begin again.

We believe God is not one more demand upon our lives,
but a holy presence within all of life:
in work and rest, care and struggle,
study and illness, worship and ordinary days.

We believe we do not ripen alone.
We need one another—
to challenge us, carry us, and help us notice
the life God is growing in us.

We believe God has not abandoned any part of us.
The sower keeps scattering seed.

And, by grace,
we are becoming fruitful.
